Minisforum , which produces mini PC mainly on the AMD platform, has introduced a new model called DeskMini TH50 based on the platform of the Intel. This model will be the first to use the Tiger Lake generation Core i5-11320H processor . There is at least a month or two before the release of similar Alder Lake solutions, so we can say that the most modern Intel platform is used here. The processor, we recall, contains four cores with a frequency of up to 4.5 GHz and an Iris Xe GPU with 96 computing units.

In terms of appearance, DeskMini TH50 Windows Mini PC is similar to HM90, with an aluminum body + plastic material, and a large radiator based on active heat dissipation inside. The dimensions of the case are not specified, but this model would have the same design as the HM90; let us indicate that they are 149.6 x 149.6 x 55.5 mm for the latter, without guarantee that the values are necessarily the same. Finally, the DeskMini TH50 would use active cooling with a fan.

DeskMini TH50 uses the 4 core/8 thread 11th generation Tiger Lake Core i5-11320H processor, manufactured by Intel’s own 10nm SuperFin process, with a base frequency of 3.2GHz, a maximum core frequency of 4.5GHz, 8MB L3 cache, and thermal design power consumption ( TDP) is 35W. As for graphics, the chip includes an Iris Xe-LP GPU that packs 640 ALUs (80 EU). Surprisingly, the Core i5-11320H is officially listed with 96 EUs, but Minisforum only mentioned 80 Execution Units in its feature list. Additional features include up to 16GB of LPDDR4 memory and Thunderbolt 4.0 support.

This DeskMini TH50 is the successor of the DeskMini TL50 which already included a Tiger Lake chip, but a Core i5-1135G7. As for its ancestor, Minisforum would offer the newcomer with a maximum of 16 GB of LPPDR4. In terms of connectivity, the DeskMini TH50 offers two USB 3.2 ports and two other USB 2.0, Thunderbolt 4, audio jack, HDMI and DisplayPort ports, as well as a pair of 2.5 GbE ports. The standard 19V USB Type-C power input port is used for power supply.

When purchasing the Deskmini TH50, it should cost between $ 400 and $ 500 in its basic version. For the high-end model, Minisforum will offer a maximum of 16 GB of DDR4 in addition to the processor. The precise launch date of the device is not yet known.
